Region 5 Series - IA/NE

USSSA of Iowa and NE will be hosting the 4th Annual Region 5 Series! It is open to teams from all states in the ages of 10-14U but Highlights softball in IA. & NE. There will be stops in DesMoines and Lincoln. At each of the stops we will set aside $25 of each entry into a fund. This fund will be distributed as USSSA World Series Travel money. To receive the prize, the winning team(s) must attend a USSSA World Series. The prize will be delivered one week prior to the World Series. Below are the dates and locations of the events for the USSSA Region 5 series

All 3 events will be used to generate the travel fund that will be awarded to the winning team at their USSSA World Series. We will attempt to split divisions (A/B) per age group as much as possible. The prize structure an d scoring method will be determined by the number of times each age group is played at one of the tournaments.

Division with all 3 tournaments
1st Place       70% of total prize pool
2nd Place      30% of total prize pool

Divsion with 2 or less tournaments
1st Place       100% pf total prize pool

There will be apoints system used for tabulating, by using the order of finish in each series event. The point system will not only award the team that places well in a tournament but rewards the teams that play in all "legs" of the USSSA Region 5 Series (each team willr eceive 25 points just for participation in each event.)

For these events, teams will be awarded points based on their order of finish in
each event. The total points will be calculated to determine the individual
series winner in each age group.
